Participants of the course will make up to 8 keep sake hanging decorations, buttons or pieces to make into jewellery or variety of each. Natalie from Upsydaisy Craft will show the class simple and more complex pottery techniques to create pattern and texture using a vast variety of cutters and stamps which she will provide (everything from flowers, hearts and dinosaurs to letters, clouds and houses). As the pieces dry Natalie will demonstrate glazing and bring along examples of the colours for the class to glaze their own pieces. The finished items will be loaded into individual boxes and taken away to be fired in the kiln and will be ready for collection at the Malt Cross approx. 2 weeks later – you will receive email confirmation and finished pieces can be posted out (this can be arranged in the class)
Natalie will bring example of what can be made, please bring along any stamps/textures you want to try in the clay, any ideas or sketches you may have. Or just come along and see what creativity inspires you on the day!
No previous experience required, lots of fun to be had playing with clay – recommended to bring an apron but clay doesn’t stain. Suitable for adults and responsible children.
