The Henderson Gallery
The new Malt Cross gallery has been named the Henderson Gallery after influential Malt Cross trustee, David Henderson. The space has been named in his memory due to his passion for up-and-coming young artists. David loved the Malt Cross building and was especially enthusiastic about the refurbishment project. Without his invaluable, passionate wisdom and input we never would have achieved this project.
The Henderson Gallery is an independent-led space, offering a unique take on the arts. Situated within a historic Grade II-listed building, we aim to offer support and encouragement to artists of all ages and backgrounds. Whether students or practising artists, we strive to show work of an excellent quality; thought provoking, innovative and of a contemporary nature. The Henderson Gallery has a unique opportunity to bring this type of art to people that might not necessarily visit galleries on a regular basis. Because of its placement within the Malt Cross café bar, we have a rare chance to offer something that other galleries don’t.
We believe that the gallery is offering the public a chance to view a stimulating and diverse range of art, in a setting that is already well renowned for its unique and welcoming atmosphere.
If you are interested in hiring the space, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include some information about your practise and a brief outline of what you hope to exhibit.
The space is also available to hire for workshops, artist-led talks and discussions. Please email any enquiries you have. We are extremely happy to discuss any ideas for potential projects.
We also run life-drawing classes in the gallery on Wednesday evenings from 6pm. For more information, please search for life drawing nottingham on Facebook.
