Jo Cox-Brown
Jo is the Operations Director and Project Manager of The Malt Cross. Before this, she worked for many years in marketing for companies like Microsoft, Unilever and Mars before she felt called to work for the church. She has loved the Malt Cross since she was 16 (which is a long time), she is passionate about helping people reach their potential, loves art and live music, and can regularly be found out on the streets of Nottingham in a Street Pastor jacket on a Friday and Saturday night. Away from the Malt Cross she loves horses, films and cooking.
Andrew Barker
Andrew is a member of staff in the Melton Mowbray Methodist circuit with a brief to encourage Fresh Expressions of Church and Mission. He also lectures at Cliff College in Derbyshire, serves as Pastoral Advisor to Nottingham Chinese Christian Church and is regularly heard on BBC Radio Nottingham.
Canon Dr Christina Baxter CBE
Christina is the Principal of St John’s Theological College Nottingham since 1997. She is also chair of the House of Laity of the Church of England’s General Synod and a member of the Archbishops’ Council. She is involved in the church at local level as a Reader in the parishes of Awsworth and Cossall.
John Bentham (Revd)
John is Area Dean for Nottingham West and Anglican Chaplain to the University of Nottingham. John was also one of the originators of the Soul Survivor Youth Festival, has been a committee member of Greenbelt Arts Festival and is a keen advocate for ‘Fresh Expressions/ Mission Shaped Church’ in the Church of England.
David Henderson
David is a Civil Engineer and having spent most of his working life managing construction and development projects he ended his career as Chief Executive of a public listed healthcare company. Now retired, he is also a Trustee of Trent Vineyard church and is currently looking after their new building project.
Tom Murphy
Tom is Senior Associate Pastor at Trent Vineyard where he has particular responsibility for ministries to the poor, the small group network and youth work for the 11 to 18 group. He believes in an outward looking church that meets the needs of people in the city in a relevant and accessible way.
Jamie Wanless
Jamie is a Chartered Accountant and has been involved in finance at a senior level for over twenty five years. In a voluntary capacity he assists Christians Against Poverty, helps with the Malt Cross Café Bar accounts and is a member of Trent Vineyard Church.
Ian Fraser
Ian is a member of St Nicholas Church, and was a Head Teacher for 22 years in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. He now divides his time between a variety of voluntary projects and visiting his daughters in Munich and Devon. He has been wonderfully supported by his wife for 38 years, who managed to fit him into her life as Professor of midwifery at Nottingham University.
